23.07.2001 - size uc5.25" picture report

Check this for some real great pictures of uc5.25"! Thx zokk.

22.07.2001 - uc5.25" invitation demo released ;)

Yes, it's true .... the most delayed invitation demo ever is out now.
Get it from
scene.org or download.untergrund.net.

19.07.2001 - giga.de/demoszene.org

As some of you noticed, there has been a short 'report' about uc5.25" and its releases at NBC's tv-show 'giga'. We know this is a pretty bad thing. Please be assured that nobody asked us for permission to do this - we are just as pissed as you are.
Even worse: Now the lamers over at demoszene.org announced a childish 'war' against giga, and also referenced underground conference... Of course we are not affiliated with them at all nor do we support their campaign.
Damnit, why can't all those suckers just leave us alone?
We don't need any of you outsiders commenting on what we do. Get lost.
We aint no food for some crappy commercial media, and we aint no food for some wannabe-sceners stupid wars.

17.07.2001 - The party is over

Yep, it's over. And I think it rocked. Most releases are now available at ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/parties/2001/uc5_25_01/. In a few days we'll post some reports, pictures and videos.

10.07.2001 - Registration backcheck / open seats

After back-checking all registrations we noticed that our registration system was buggy and also counted deleted/denied applys as valid visitors ... ooooppps ;) Ok, so we now aren't booked out at all anymore *g*. If you are an active scener, this is your chance to grab one of the now open seats... oh well, else there will be more beer for ourselves ;)
IMPORTANT: The following people didn't send back a (valid) reply to our registration check - please do it NOW: seismic, spyda, soney, soor, deepblur, muhmac, sanne, whataduck, kida, dodo, stimpy, delta9, mr.bios, cobalt

08.07.2001 - Hostname registration online now

Every machine at uc5.25"" will get its own routable IP. No NAT and shit. For the next 48 hours it's now possible to register hostnames for your boxes. This way they will be available to the outside world as soon as you arrive at the partyplace... Go here for registration...

08.07.2001 - We are nearly booked out

Only a few (~5) seats left... registration will close soon.

03.07.2001 - Attack of the lamers... ;)

Ok, here something funny to read (sorry, it's in german). That strange guy just mailed me asking for invitation the rather arrogant way ('X-Priority: 2 (high)' and stuff). Oh well, read my reply ;)

Hi,

Ok. Das war gelogen.

Ciao,

scamp/vacuum

28.06.2001 - List of invited groups updated

And again we added quite a few missing groups to our list...

25.06.2001 - Happy Hardcore Competition

Due to some request, there will be a happy hardcore competition. Geil :)
In case you don't have a clue what happy hardcore music should sound like ... it should be >180 BPM with hard beats and some happy melody and/or vocals.
In case you want an example, check out this happy hardcore track done by scamp/vacuum in 1999:
scamp/vacuum feat. the shamen - move any mountain
This competition will be listed at our compo page soon, together with some more updates about the other competitions.

25.06.2001 - "tötet alle lamer" trash-flash-game online

mbb/pap wrote a funny trash-game based on the uc4gw motto "tötet alle lamer". Rules are simply - kill the lamers. You can check it out right here..

25.06.2001 - more than 2/3 of available space booked

We have about 30 seats left. If you want to come to UC5.25" and haven't registered with us yet, please do it now.

08.06.2001 - Updated dycp and added hardcore mode ;)

Yes. The most unrequested feature of all time. enjoy ;)
btw... if you care, you can catch most of the organizers at ircnet #szene.ger

07.06.2001 - UC filebase updated a lot

Ok, after gathering a lot of stuff from different sources the uc download ftp now has quite a few missing files, including nearly all uc4gw releases. Thanks to crest and the chscene.ch siteop for helping. I also uploaded the uc2e and uc4gw invitation intros (including a patched version of the uc2e intro so that it works on todays pc's).
We are still missing most releases from uc95, uc2e and uc3d. If you can help, please contact
scamp!

05.06.2001 - 1/3 of available space booked

Cool... 3 days after site launch, 1/3 of our available space is already booked. As quite a few asked for that, here are a few names of groups on the list (no ranking of course): kolor, farbrausch, smash designs, salva mea, occult, icebird, DualCrewShining, copro, digital overflow, headcrash, black maiden, sternenkinder, metalvotze, acrise, die wissenden. Thanks to those that registered that early.
Until now, we only had to refuse one registration. Looks like the lamers finally understood that there's no chance for them to be party of an UC :) Currently most registrations are from inside germany, let's hope the other countries catch up so that uc5.25" becomes as international as uc4gw was...

05.06.2001 - List of invited groups updated...

*sigh* .. I told you that list is hell outdated, but still I got tons of requests to add groups to the list .. so here we go ;)

03.06.2001 - registration system fixed

Quite a few typos fixed, thanks to those that reported them. Registration system had a bug, it's fixed now too. So: register NOW.

02.06.2001 - Finally this site got launched

Tons of delays due to other work that had to be done first ... yes, this years site is pretty late, I know. But now it's there. Enjoy.
